Bio: Jerald Daemyon is a young innovator who expands on music history and incorporates modern ideals, forging a unique sound complementing his masterful melodic performances with exciting landscapes from the R&B, hip-hop, funk, and contemporary traditions. Daemyon's award-winning album, Ã’Thinking About You" became a chart topping smash on Billboard's Magazine's Urban and Contemporary Jazz Charts earning "Best Contemporary Jazz Album, 1997". His previously released album, "Summer Madness" also received widespread radio play as a fresh, hip and funky take on Kool & The Gang's early Seventies, feel good smash. Jerald displays his talents of singing, music production and lyric writing in the R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop and Jazz genres.

"Though I am classically trained, my intent is take the violin into a Renaissance phase, a rebirth period where I incorporate a little of everything, sort of like a pot of gumbo where everything smells good mixed in," says Daemyon. "I'm trying to lead a movement towards change in music, as well as how the violin is perceived in music today. My mix of R&B and Jazz with Hip-Hop and funky rhythms incorporates music of the mind, body, soul and people."

He is a recognized member of the National Academy of Recording Artists & Sciences (The Grammy Awards), has received the 3M Award of Artistic Innovation, Billboard Magazines, "The Spirit of Detroit Award" and numerous honors for his work with children and community service across the country.
